Take semi-ripe cuttings of Ornamental shrubs such as Hydrangeas. This is a great way to get plants for free! It’s a little trickier than sowing seeds, but the results can be just as rewarding. The Botanico Seed & Cutting Tray is ideal for this purpose. Just use a well drained compost and dip the tips of the cuttings in hormone rooting powder.

Now’s the time to plant some of the earlier flowering spring bulbs such as colchicums, but start planning your complete spring bulb display now, and buy bulbs early from Garden Centres for the best choice.
